In the field of deep hole drilling, we offer highly precise machining services for cast and steel products. Our machines allow operations both with and without a core. Additionally, we can perform boring operations, providing great flexibility in machining various workpieces. A special feature is counter-rotation drilling, where both the tool and the workpiece rotate.
This method improves the precision of the drilling process and is particularly effective for producing holes with high surface quality and accuracy. Furthermore, we have the capability to create deep holes in non-rotationally symmetrical parts. This expands our offerings and allows us to meet a wider range of customer requirements.
With the capacity to machine depths of up to 12 meters and diameters of up to 400 mm, we are capable of handling even very large and demanding deep hole drilling projects. The combination of state-of-the-art technology, experienced specialists, and our specialized drilling techniques makes us a reliable partner in deep hole machining.
Whether it involves long holes in cast or steel parts, machining with or without a core, or precise drilling in non-rotationally symmetrical workpieces, our goal is to meet our customersā specific requirements with high precision and efficiency.
M25 ā Eccentric Deep Hole Drilling
The M25, a TBT T30-1500-So deep hole drilling machine at hhpm by Breitenbach, is specialized in eccentric deep hole drilling with a drilling range from 15 mm to 50 mm in diameter. Equipped with manual controls, it allows drilling to a maximum length of 4,200 mm. This machine is designed for precise drilling operations and can handle workpieces weighing up to 15 tons, offering flexible capabilities for various drilling requirements.
BTA Deep Hole Drilling (Boring and Trepanning Association) is a highly precise drilling method specifically developed for creating deep holes in metallic materials. This process is primarily used in manufacturing to produce deep, straight, and accurate holes with tight tolerances and high surface quality.
In the BTA deep hole drilling process, both the workpiece and the BTA tool rotate simultaneously. The specialized tool consists of a drill rod with cutting edges that remove material. A key feature of the BTA process is the coolant, which is supplied under high pressure through the drill rod to the cutting area. Chip removal takes place through the inner section of the drill rod, allowing chips to be effectively and continuously evacuated.
This deep hole drilling method in contract manufacturing allows for drill diameters from 20 mm up to over 400 mm and depths of up to 12 meters. The combination of precise drill guidance, efficient chip removal, and high process reliability makes BTA deep hole drilling ideal for applications in the automotive, aerospace, and oil & gas industries.
As a roll manufacturer, we have over a century of experience in machining large rotationally symmetrical components from a wide variety of materials, such as cast iron, hard cast, forged steel, and high-chromium steel, and meeting requirements such as surface roughness, roundness accuracy, and cylindricity.
