Finish turning focuses on the precise creation of component contours. Complex shapes such as grooves, chamfers, bores, shoulders, and all types of threads can be machined, with particular attention to excellent surface quality and geometric accuracy. This machining phase enables the creation of detailed forms and fine surface finishes that are critical for the functionality of the final product.

A standout feature of our manufacturing capabilities is the production of complex internal contours up to a depth of 4,200 mm, which requires specialized techniques and tools. For machining deep internal contours, we use specially designed tools and precision CNC-controlled turning machines to meet strict tolerances and surface quality requirements.

The use of advanced CNC technology ensures precise control during the finish turning process, which is essential for achieving the required accuracy for such contours. We employ highly developed measuring and inspection techniques to ensure that each workpiece meets the technical specifications for finish turning.

Finish Turning Machine M29

The M29, a Wohlenberg M1600 model and a large machining center at hhpm by Breitenbach, features a special support for drilling operations that enables stable clamping of large drill tools. This function is crucial for precise through-drilling of diameters up to 500 mm. Furthermore, the machine is used for rough turning as well as the production of complex drilling, milling, and knurling operations. With a drive torque of 160 kNm and a feed force of 63 kN, the M29 finish turning machine can handle large workpieces with diameters up to 1,980 mm and lengths up to 15,000 mm, with a maximum weight of 75 tons.

For internal contour turning, the M29 is equipped with vibration-damped boring bars, which reach diameters up to 350 mm and allow overhangs up to 4,200 mm. This special equipment significantly enhances machining precision and quality by minimizing vibrations and ensuring optimal surface quality when machining deep internal contours.


Finish Turning Machine M12

 

The M12 from Seiger, an SLZ 850E model at hhpm by Breitenbach, is specifically designed for finish turning. It handles workpieces with diameters up to 850 mm and lengths up to 3,000 mm, supporting weights of up to 4.5 tons. This machine excels in finish turning due to its precision in the process, supported by a strong drive torque. A special feature of this machine is the use of vibration-damped boring bars with diameters up to 120 mm for internal contour turning, capable of boring holes up to 400 mm in diameter and overhangs up to 1,200 mm. This ensures accurate and clean machining of deep internal contours.
